Founded by Don Hines, a retiree with 30 years of government service, Hines Insurance Services has been helping individuals navigate the complex world of Medicare plans since 2005.
Don’s journey into Medicare planning was fueled by his passion for assisting people in understanding their Medicare options. He firsthand experienced the importance of having an independent agent while caring for his mother. This personal connection led to the development of strong trust bonds with our clients, many of whom now refer their friends and family to us.
In 2008, Sharon Hines, Don’s wife, joined the team, initially working part-time. After retiring from her position as Practice Manager at Willow Run Veterinary Clinic in 2018, she dedicated herself full-time to Hines Insurance Services. While Don and Sharon continue to be actively involved in the agency, they are also cherishing more time with their grandchildren.
To further enhance our ability to serve you, we welcomed Heather Kolivras as our newest employee and agency partner on May 1st, 2023. Heather brings 17 years of invaluable experience from her career with Highmark Blue Shield, specializing in Medicare-related products. She became licensed in 2012 and resides with her husband and two children. Heather is committed to providing top-notch service to all our clients throughout Central Pennsylvania. When she’s not working, she and her husband enjoy the outdoors and are actively involved in their local Fire Company. They also share their coaching expertise by leading their son’s soccer team.
